INTERACTION, UX/UI

Cranbrook Gardens App

I developed an interactive application that improves the exploration of Cranbrook's Gardens through a user-friendly map and enhances the volunteering process, drawing from the shortcomings of the existing app. By redesigning the map with more straightforward graphics and integrating it with a JavaScript library, I made navigation and location identification more intuitive.

In high school, my friends and I would wander the gardens and frequently get lost. When I found there was an interactive map, I was initially quite happy, however after using it I found it extremely ineffective and borderline unusable. Channeling this frustration, I reimagined what the application could look like if I had designed it. The priority was to clearly convey information and location through a streamlined and minimalist interface and graphics, as well as to facilitate volunteers and donations.
